God of War Ragnarok: 20th Anniversary Update 06.02 Patch Notes Reveal Dark Odyssey Collection

Santa Monica Studio has released the God of War Ragnarök update version 06.02 patch notes, celebrating the franchise's 20th anniversary with the introduction of the Dark Odyssey Collection. This update is a delightful nod to fans, featuring a range of new content that's available at no extra cost.

The update introduces the Dark Odyssey cosmetics for Kratos, Atreus, and Freya, along with updated aesthetics for all of God of War's iconic weaponry. This collection brings back the iconic black and gold theme from the original God of War (2005) and God of War II, honoring the series' rich history. The Dark Odyssey Collection includes:

• Dark Odyssey Armor & Appearance for Kratos: Dark Odyssey Kratos Appearance, Dark Odyssey Armor Set (Breastplate, Bracers, Belt).
• Dark Odyssey Companion Armor: Dark Odyssey Vestment for Atreus, Dark Odyssey Witch Frock for Freya.
• Dark Odyssey Weapon Appearances & Attachments: Dark Odyssey Leviathan Axe [Appearance] & Dark Odyssey Knob [Attachment], Dark Odyssey Blades of Chaos [Appearance] & Dark Odyssey Handles [Attachment], Dark Odyssey Draupnir Spear [Appearance] & Dark Odyssey Hind [Attachment].
• Dark Odyssey Shield Appearances & Rönd: Dark Odyssey Guardian Shield, Dark Odyssey Dauntless Shield, Dark Odyssey Stone Wall Shield, Dark Odyssey Shatter Start Shield, Dark Odyssey Onslaught Shield, Dark Odyssey Spartan Aspis Shield, Dark Odyssey Rönd.

Please note that the weapon appearances are designed for the fully upgraded version of each weapon and will only be available upon reaching that upgrade level.

In addition to these cosmetic enhancements, the update introduces a new 'Edit Appearance' feature. This allows players to customize their favorite looks for weapons and shields without affecting their abilities and skills. Whether you're battling Thor and Odin for the first time or revisiting the saga, now is an excellent time to dive back into God of War Ragnarök on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, or PC.

While the Dark Odyssey Collection has thrilled many fans, some had hoped for more substantial remasters of earlier titles like God of War, God of War 2, and God of War 3.
