Genshin Impact is set to release its next major update, Version 5.5, titled "Day of the Flame's Return," on March 26th. This update promises to intensify the Natlan region with a host of new features and content.
One of the most anticipated additions is the introduction of controller support for Android devices, a long-awaited feature that will enhance the gaming experience for many players. For more details on compatible controllers, you can find the information here.
What Does Genshin Impact Version 5.5 Have in Store?
Players will explore the southwestern part of Natlan, encountering a new tribe, a massive volcano, and new characters. The Great Volcano of Tollan holds ancient secrets and a sacred city that has been dormant for centuries. As you delve into this area, you'll uncover the mysteries of the "Flamelord's Blessing" and the enigmatic "Little One." You'll also meet the Collective of Plenty, a tribe that values physical strength and integrates it into their daily life.
Two new characters will be added to the roster: Varesa, a 5-star Electro Catalyst user who can restore Phlogiston after consuming food, making her a unique support character outside of battle, and Iansan, a 4-star Electro Polearm wielder and one of Natlan's six heroes. Iansan combines offensive and supportive abilities, gaining the Warming Up effect to provide continuous healing when a teammate triggers a Nightsoul Burst.
In the first phase of Version 5.5's Event Wishes, you can pull for Varesa and Iansan, along with Xianyun's rerun, followed by reruns for Xilonen and Venti. Check out these exciting additions below.
The Bloomflower Trials Are Making a Comeback
In this update, you'll team up with Mavuika, Ifa, and other allies from Natlan to help a sick Saurian. A new mini-game, "Saurian Treasure Seeker," challenges you to guide baby Saurians through obstacles to collect treasures, with the chance to invite Ororon for free by participating in the event.
On the challenge side, a new boss, the Lava Dragon Statue, awaits in the volcanic fissures. You can download the game from the Google Play Store and dive into this expansive update when it becomes available.
