If you're a *Genshin Impact* player on Android, you're in for a treat. The long-awaited controller support is finally rolling out with Version 5.5. It's been a while since iOS users enjoyed this feature back in 2021, but the wait is over for Android players.
When Will Genshin Impact Get Controller Support on Android?
Starting March 26th, 2025, you'll be able to connect your Android device to a controller and explore the vast world of *Genshin Impact* without relying on the touchscreen. The update will officially support four controllers: DualShock 4, DualSense, Xbox Wireless Controller, and Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2. All of these require Bluetooth connectivity. In addition to controller support, Version 5.5 will bring a host of other quality-of-life improvements. One exciting feature is cross-scene quest tracking, allowing you to seamlessly track your quests across different areas. Just open the map and teleport directly to your desired location.
New players will benefit from updated boss guides, which will provide a deeper understanding of enemy mechanics. Additionally, the Artifact system, Serenitea Pot, and Mail system are all set to receive optimizations. Full details on these changes will be unveiled during the Special Program Announcement on March 14th.
