By StellaMay 20,2025

Remedy Entertainment has officially set June 17, 2025, as the release date for their much-anticipated game, FBC: Firebreak. This exciting new title is a session-based, multiplayer PvE experience that immerses players in the rich universe of Control. FBC: Firebreak introduces players to a variety of replayable missions, known as Jobs, which present unique challenges, objectives, and environments, encouraging teamwork and adaptability among players.

FBC: Firebreak is slated for release on multiple platforms including PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), Xbox Series X and S, and PlayStation 5, priced at $39.99 / €39.99 / £32.99. Enthusiasts can dive into the game from day one through PC Game Pass, Game Pass Ultimate, and the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog (Extra and Premium). Notably, this marks Remedy's first venture into self-publishing.

In addition to the standard edition, Remedy unveiled the FBC: Firebreak Deluxe Edition, available for $49.99 / €49.99 / £39.99. This premium package includes exclusive cosmetics and voice packs. Owners of the base game can upgrade to the Deluxe Edition for an additional $10 / €10 / £7. The Deluxe Edition boasts a range of items such as:

  • “The Firestarter” Premium Voice Pack
  • “The Pencil Pusher” Premium Voice Pack
  • Firestarter Armor Set, Apex Revision (Helmet, Body Armor, Gloves)
  • Scorched Remnant Double-Barrel Shotgun Skin
  • Golden Firebreak Spray
  • Classified Requisition: “Firestarter”: A collection of 36 unlockable cosmetic items including weapon skins, sprays, and armor sets

The game introduces a new system called Requisitions, which rewards players with gear and cosmetics simply by playing. Requisitions can unlock a variety of items including weapons, equipment, armor, and sprays using in-game currency earned through gameplay. Importantly, there are no limited-time windows or rotating stores; all items added to the game are perpetually available.

For players seeking additional customization, Classified Requisitions offer premium cosmetic items like armor sets, custom voice packs, sprays, and weapon skins, purchasable with real money. These items are strictly cosmetic, ensuring no impact on gameplay, and they will remain available indefinitely. For a deeper understanding of how Requisitions work, click here.

Remedy has committed to ongoing support for FBC: Firebreak post-launch, promising two new Jobs in 2025 and further updates in 2026. All new content, such as Jobs, will be free to all players, while cosmetics will be available for purchase but will not affect gameplay. Remedy emphasizes that there will be no limited-time rotations or daily log-ins required.

With multiple projects in development, Remedy is keeping busy. Alongside FBC: Firebreak, the studio is also working on Control 2 and a remake compilation of Max Payne and Max Payne 2, promising an exciting future for fans of their unique storytelling and gameplay.
