Fake Elden Ring Nightreign Test Invitations Circulated by Scammers

By JoshuaApr 09,2025

Bandai Namco has started sending out emails to confirm participation in the closed testing of *Elden Ring: Nightreign*, set to take place from February 14 to 17, 2025. These lucky players will be the first to dive into the game, which features an exciting three-person cooperative mode, as stated in the official correspondence.

Given the high anticipation for *Nightreign*, it's no surprise that scammers are trying to capitalize on the excitement by distributing fake testing invitations. Some gamers have reported receiving emails that mimic official Bandai Namco notifications, falsely claiming to offer a spot in the testing phase. These fraudulent emails often contain links to deceptive websites designed to look like Steam.

Victims who click on these links and log in to the fake sites risk losing access to their accounts. In some instances, players have even received similar scam messages from their own friends. Fortunately, some affected users have managed to recover their accounts by reaching out to Steam support.

It's crucial to exercise caution with any links received and to verify the authenticity of the sources. When in doubt, stick to official channels and avoid clicking on suspicious links.

In other news, *Elden Ring: Nightreign* will not feature the messaging system found in other FromSoftware games. Project director Junya Ishizaki explained this decision in a recent interview, stating that the approximately forty-minute gaming sessions do not provide enough time for players to send or read messages.

Due to the brief duration of the sessions, which last around forty minutes, we've decided to disable the messaging feature to keep the gameplay focused and uninterrupted.
