For those not in the know, it may surprise you to learn that the Epic Games Store for mobile follows its PC equivalent's example with free games available to claim for a limited time. Even better, on mobile, it's not monthly but weekly, and you get two games instead of one!
In the last week of April, Epic is offering two fantastic releases for free: Loop Hero and Chuchel. Frequent readers might recognize Loop Hero as one of our favorites here at Pocket Gamer, with Jack giving it a glowing review. If you play nothing else from this pair, make sure it's Loop Hero for its engaging roguelike experience.
But what exactly is Chuchel? This surreal animated adventure follows the titular Chuchel in his pursuit of a stolen cherry. Along the way, he and his rival Kekel will find themselves in all sorts of hilarious and weird situations that you'll need to navigate or simply watch unfold.
Free-for-allChuchel might have been a bit confusing, but it was still a fun experience for our App Army when they reviewed it upon release. And even if it's not your usual type of game, you can't argue with the price: absolutely free. Meanwhile, Loop Hero comes highly recommended for its challenging gameplay and lush pixel visuals.
The Epic Games Store for mobile offers many of the perks of its PC counterpart, including these free releases and, of course, access to games like Fortnite, which are otherwise unavailable on mobile.
