STALKER 2's updated PC system requirements are in, and they're intense—mirroring the game's challenging world.
STALKER 2 PC System Requirements Unveiled
High-End Hardware Needed for 4K, High FPS
With launch (November 20th) just around the corner, the final system specs for STALKER 2 are here, revealing a hefty hardware demand, even on low settings. Higher settings require significantly more powerful systems.
See the updated system requirements below:
OS | Windows 10 x64 Windows 11 x64 | |||
---|---|---|---|---|
RAM | 16GB Dual Channel | 32GB Dual Channel | ||
Storage | SSD ~160GB |
While minimum specs are reasonable, smooth 4K gameplay at high frame rates demands a top-tier gaming PC. "Epic" settings, in particular, rival even Crysis' infamous 2007 high-end requirements.
Storage needs have increased from 150GB to 160GB. An SSD is strongly recommended for optimal loading times—crucial in this unforgiving game.
Upscaling technologies like Nvidia DLSS and AMD FSR will be included to boost visual fidelity without sacrificing performance. The exact FSR version is yet to be confirmed.
In a Gamescom 2024 interview with Wccftech, developers confirmed software ray tracing. Hardware ray tracing, however, is still under development; Lead Producer Slava Lukyanenka stated its inclusion at launch is "highly unlikely."
Launching November 20, 2024, STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl promises a demanding, open-world, non-linear single-player experience where player choices significantly impact the narrative.
