You'll find the Painter’s Regret treasure map in Emerald Stair, the second major area you explore in *Avowed*. Specifically, it's located in a house at the northeast end of Coastal Farms. Look for a large house positioned in front of a rock face. Be prepared, as you'll need to battle a group of enemies guarding the house before entering.

How To Get Into the Painter’s Regret House in Avowed

As with many RPGs, accessing the house isn't as straightforward as using the front door, which is barred shut. After defeating the enemies outside, head to the right side of the house where you'll find a walkway leading to an unbarred back door. Enter through this door to find yourself inside the house, where you'll see a large painting on an easel. This painting is the Painter’s Regret treasure map. Grab it, and you're set to embark on your treasure hunt in *Avowed*.

With the map in hand, navigate to the western side of the river southwest of Fior mes Iverno to find the treasure. Your reward for this quest is the Painter’s Brush unique trinket, which boosts your critical hit chance by 5%, enhancing your combat effectiveness in the Living Lands.
