In *Astro Bot*, players can explore a variety of worlds, but the most intriguing are the ten secret worlds hidden within the Lost Galaxy. To access these, you must find hidden portals scattered across different levels. Keep an eye out for a swirly icon when selecting stages; it indicates a portal is hidden within that level. Whether you're early or late in the stage, these portals can be tricky to spot. Here's a comprehensive guide to help you locate all ten portals and access the Lost Galaxy.
Where Are the Portal Locations to the Lost Galaxy in Astro Bot?
As you navigate through *Astro Bot*, some stages feature a unique swirly icon alongside the number of bots and puzzle pieces. This icon signals the presence of a portal to the Lost Galaxy. These portals might be tucked away early in a level or hidden right at the end. Here's a detailed guide on where to find each portal and how to access them.
Hidden Portal #1: Az-Tech Trail
Toward the middle of the level, you'll encounter a dark room with a wall illuminated by four torches. Use the Twin-Frog Gloves to extinguish each flame, causing the wall to reveal the portal to the Lost Galaxy.
Hidden Portal #2: Creamy Canyon
Near the start of the level, you'll come across a snowy arena with a bouncing ladybug enemy. Move past it to find a charging pig. Grab the pig after it charges, and swing it toward the icy statue at the edge of your platform. Once the statue is destroyed, backtrack, flip the ladybug, and bounce up to a new platform. Perform a charged spin attack to enter a room containing the secret portal.
Hidden Portal #3: Go-Go Archipelago
After defeating Captain Pincher, look back at where his claw is embedded in the ground. You'll notice a glowing light indicating a spot for a charged spin attack. Drill into the ground to uncover a hidden room with treasures and the secret portal.
Hidden Portal #4: Downsize Surprise
Close to the level's end, you'll meet a frog that blows bubbles. Blow into your controller to prompt the frog to start blowing bubbles. Shrink your size, hop onto a bubble, and ride it up to the branch above the bot. You might need to switch bubbles before it pops. Once on the opposite branch, you'll discover the next secret portal.
Hidden Portal #5: Free Big Brother!
Arguably the easiest portal to find, turn around immediately after starting the level to spot some platforms with an electric enemy. Swim over, bait the enemy to electrocute the platforms, and watch as the wall behind it opens, revealing the hidden portal.
Hidden Portal #6: Bathhouse Battle
Midway through the level, locate the house with a flaming chimney. After absorbing water, climb to the roof and douse the flames. Slide down the chimney into a room hosting the secret portal.
Hidden Portal #7: Hieiroglitch Pyramid
At the level's end, turn right to find an area with falling jewels. Use the bounce pad to access a hidden area with the portal. Be ready for a trap; find the hidden switches in the walls pushing you back to open the path to the portal.
Hidden Portal #8: Balloon Breeze
The most challenging portal to locate, obtain the puffer-fish power-up and backtrack to an area near the start with a distant platform and a bouncing ladybug enemy. Flip the ladybug, punch it toward the edge to reach the floating area, bounce on it, activate the puffer-fish power-up, and use Astro's hover ability to reach the platform. Use motion controls to cut down surrounding bamboo, then run around the portal's perimeter to power it up.
Hidden Portal #9: Djinny of the Lamp
After defeating Djinny and reaching the goal, turn around and climb the ruins. Notice the glowing ground indicating invisible platforms. Hover over these platforms, guided by the glowing concrete slabs, to an elevated platform. Unroll the rug to ride to another platform where the secret portal awaits.
Hidden Portal #10: Frozen Meal
Before engaging the boss, roll the snowball until it's massive enough to use as a platform. Ride it to reach the cliff area, where you'll find the final secret portal in *Astro Bot*.
