Netflix's highly anticipated Devil May Cry anime finally has a release date: April 3rd! The series, a collaboration between Castlevania showrunner Adi Shankar and Studio Mir (the studio behind The Legend of Korra), revealed the date with a new teaser trailer on X, appropriately soundtracked by Limp Bizkit.

First announced in 2018, the Devil May Cry anime is confirmed for an eight-episode first season. Studio Mir's involvement promises a visually stunning adaptation.

While plot specifics remain shrouded in secrecy, it seems Dante, as seen in the first three Devil May Cry games, will be the central character, though any direct connections to the game's storylines are yet to be confirmed. Interestingly, Johnny Yong Bosch, the voice of Nero in the video games, will be lending his talents to the role of Dante.

The last mainline Devil May Cry game, Devil May Cry 5, launched in 2019, marking a triumphant return for the franchise after a period of relative inactivity following 2013's DmC: Devil May Cry. A critically acclaimed action title, Devil May Cry 5 is highly recommended, especially for fans of games like Ninja Gaiden Black 2. Read our full review here.
