  • Festival of the Lost 2025 is letting fans vote for armor sets between Slashers vs Spectres, with Titans inspired by Babadook and Hunters by La Llorona.
  • Despite the excitement for new armor sets, there is growing frustration in the Destiny 2 community over bugs and declining numbers.

Bungie is showcasing new armor sets for the upcoming Festival of the Lost, allowing Destiny 2 players to vote on whether they prefer Slashers or Spectres themes. This year's event, set for October 2025, features iconic horror figures like Jason, Slenderman, and more. As we enter the final act of Episode Revenant, players can enjoy the narrative conclusion and collect new loot, such as the Slayer's Fang.

However, the journey through Episode Revenant has been far from smooth. Players have encountered numerous issues, including broken tonics meant to provide buffs, alongside other gameplay bugs. Although Bungie has addressed many of these problems, the overall sentiment among the community remains low due to the ongoing challenges.

In their first blog post of 2025, Bungie unveiled the upcoming armor sets for Festival of the Lost, themed around Slashers vs Spectres. Inspired by horror icons and urban legends, fans can vote on their favorite designs, which will be available during the event. Additionally, the losing Wizard armor set from the 2024 Festival of the Lost will be accessible during Episode Heresy.

Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost 2025 Inspired by Iconic Horror Villains

For the Slashers category, horror enthusiasts will recognize the Titan armor inspired by Jason from the Friday the 13th series, the Hunter armor reminiscent of Ghostface from Scream, and the Warlock's eerie Scarecrow set. On the Specters side, Titans transform into the Babadook, Hunters embody La Llorona, and Warlocks don the chilling Slenderman armor.

While the community has enjoyed seeing Bungie's creative take on these horror icons, many were surprised by the focus on an event still 10 months away. There's a strong desire for acknowledgment of the current state of Destiny 2, as player engagement and numbers continue to decline, exacerbated by persistent bugs and issues throughout Episode Revenant.
