"Dark Phoenix Saga Launches in Marvel Contest of Champions with Jean Grey and Bastion"

Kabam is set to roll out significant updates to Marvel Contest of Champions, heralding the start of the Dark Phoenix Saga, introducing new Champions, and unveiling a new character type called Eidols. This month also marks a celebration of the game's powerful female characters, offering players the chance to influence an upcoming Champion rework.

Jean Grey and Bastion are the latest Champions to join The Contest, each bringing their unique abilities and deepening the game's storyline. You can recruit Jean Grey to your team starting March 13th, and Bastion will be available from March 27th. The Dark Phoenix Saga begins on March 3rd, challenging Jean Grey and the X-Men to confront dangerous variants in a thrilling new quest.

The lore of Marvel Contest of Champions continues to grow with the introduction of more Eidols, furthering the Founders storyline. Following the debut of Isophyne in December 2024, three more Eidols will be introduced throughout 2025, each with a unique sourcing system. Lumatrix, the next Eidol, will be available from March 5th until June 4th.

Lumatrix, crafted by The Founders, serves as a master infiltrator with the ability to spy, sabotage, and assassinate with unmatched precision. Made from ISO-8 crystals, Lumatrix manipulates light to dazzle and deceive, yet beneath its spectacular facade lies a deadly weapon designed to eliminate enemies while remaining undetected.
