Pondsmith described the new city’s aesthetic as distinct from the Blade Runner-inspired vibe of Night City, instead capturing the essence of a dystopian Chicago—gritty, industrial, and layered with social decay.

This new urban environment aims to deliver a unique atmosphere while maintaining the rich narrative depth that made *Cyberpunk 2077* stand out. CD Projekt Red (CDPR) has also ramped up hiring for Project Orion, including a recent job posting for a Lead Encounter Designer. The role emphasizes crafting memorable gameplay moments and pioneering cutting-edge systems, including what could become the most advanced crowd simulation in gaming history.

Cyberpunk 2077 Switch 2 Port Gets Closer to Release

In other developments, CDPR released new footage showcasing progress on the *Cyberpunk 2077* port for the Nintendo Switch 2. Despite early concerns about performance—including reports of frame drops during live demos—the studio remains confident in the final product.
