"Cyberpunk 2077 Lunar DLC Details Leaked"

Cyberpunk 2077 enthusiasts were once buzzing with excitement over a planned DLC that would have taken the game to new heights—literally. This ambitious expansion was set to transport players to the Moon, a concept that was eventually shelved. Thanks to the diligent work of blogger and dataminer SirMZK, we now have a glimpse into what CD Projekt RED had envisioned for this cosmic adventure.

Diving into the game's code, SirMZK uncovered references to lunar surface maps, structured zones such as an Exterior Movie Set and a Drug Lab, and even a rover model. The Moon location was planned to be expansive, potentially covering a quarter of Night City's size, and designed as an open world. This would have introduced an entirely new layer to the gameplay, allowing players to venture far beyond the familiar neon-lit streets of Night City.

One of the highlights of this proposed DLC was the Crystal Palace, an elite space station. Although it didn't make it into the final game, eagle-eyed players can spot the Crystal Palace in one of Cyberpunk 2077's endings, visible through a spaceship window. Further digging revealed plans for a zero-gravity bar connected to a scrapped quest called "201," which was part of the Arasaka storyline.

While the Moon DLC remains a distant dream, fans are hopeful that these intriguing concepts might find new life in CD Projekt RED's upcoming project, Orion, which aims to further expand the Cyberpunk universe. However, there has been no official word from the studio about incorporating these ideas into Orion.

Although the Moon expansion never came to fruition, the uncovered details offer a tantalizing look at what could have been—a bold venture into uncharted territory that would have seamlessly blended space exploration with Cyberpunk 2077's distinctive cyberpunk aesthetic.
