How To Collect Mineral Samples Using the Plasma Burst Laser in Fortnite Chapter 6

The Wanted: Joss Outlaw Quests in Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2 are proving challenging, especially the Big Dill challenge. This guide focuses on efficiently collecting mineral samples using the Plasma Burst Laser.

Finding the Plasma Burst Laser

The Plasma Burst Laser, a new Epic item in the Lawless season, excels at breaching Vaults. While it's not easily found, Vaults within Points of Interest (POIs) like Crime City (which also boasts Go Bags and Chests) are good hunting grounds. Alternatively, two Black Markets offer it for 600 Gold. The Black Market near Magic Mosses is strategically advantageous for the next challenge, requiring a return to Joss's lab.

Once you acquire the Plasma Burst Laser, locate a destructible stone structure (not all stone structures work). Use the Laser to destroy it. Mineral samples won't automatically appear; instead, a small rock fragment will drop. Interact with this fragment to complete the quest objective.

From there, simply follow the in-game marker back to Joss's lab to analyze the samples, earning more XP and concluding the Wanted: Joss Outlaw Quests. Return to your Fortnite gameplay, showcasing your newly unlocked items.
