Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Post-Launch Updates
Bug Fixes and Localization Improvements
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has just rolled out its first update since its release. In a detailed Steam blog post dated April 30, Sandfall Interactive shared that Hotfix 1.2.2 is now available, targeting a series of bug fixes and localization enhancements.
This update addresses critical in-game issues such as the soft-lock experienced when stunning the Grown Bourgeon, along with other soft-lock problems encountered on the world map. Additionally, the update includes refinements to the French, German, and Chinese language support, ensuring a better experience for players across different regions.
The developers at Sandfall Interactive are committed to continual improvement and have promised more updates in the near future. While these patches significantly enhance gameplay, the community eagerly anticipates more substantial content, such as potential DLCs.
Earlier this week, the lead writer of Expedition 33 took to Instagram to address fan inquiries about the possibility of a DLC. Although no official confirmation was given, the response was optimistic, hinting at the game's strong sales performance as a favorable factor for future expansions.
Expedition 33 Director Recommends Another RPG Released on the Same Day
In related news, Sandfall Games' Creative Director Guillaume Broche took to Expedition 33’s Twitter (X) account on April 30 to recommend another RPG that launched on the same day as Expedition 33. Broche encouraged fans to explore The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy, describing it as "another great turn-based RPG that was also released last week, and made with love by an awesome team."
This recommendation came as a response to a shout-out from The Hundred Line’s co-director Kazutaka Kodaka, who praised Expedition 33 in a Twitter (X) post on April 28. Kodaka encouraged players to experience both games, highlighting the mutual respect and camaraderie between the two development teams.
Despite the competitive launch window alongside other RPGs like Expedition 33 and Oblivion Remastered, The Hundred Line has garnered a "Very Positive" reception on Steam. Meanwhile, Expedition 33 continues to lead the pack as the highest-rated game of 2025, achieving over 1 million sales in just three days.
