Lenovo unveiled the Legion Go S, the world's first officially licensed SteamOS handheld. Announced January 7th, 2025, this device boasts an 8-inch VRR1-supported screen, TrueStrike controllers with adjustable triggers and hall-effect joysticks, and seamless cloud saves and remote play functionality with PCs.
The Legion Go S provides full access to the Steam ecosystem, including your library, cloud, chat, and game recording features. System updates are handled directly through SteamOS.
The SteamOS version launches in May 2025 at $499.99 USD, while a Windows version will be available earlier in January 2025, starting at $729.99 USD. Valve also confirmed they are working on expanding SteamOS compatibility to other handheld devices.
