CD Projekt Red Seeks Talent for Mysterious Project Hadar

By CamilaMay 04,2025

Marcin Blacha, the Vice President and Narrative Lead at CD Projekt Red, has highlighted the need for an "exceptional team" to bring Project Hadar to life. Aspiring developers with the right skills are invited to explore the open positions and play a role in shaping this ambitious new game.

Unlike CD Projekt Red's previous successes, The Witcher series (which draws from Andrzej Sapkowski’s novels) and Cyberpunk 2077 (inspired by a tabletop RPG), Project Hadar introduces players to an entirely new universe crafted by the studio. While details are still under wraps, it's confirmed that the game won't venture into space horror territory. Previously, only a small team of about twenty individuals were involved in its development.

Currently, the Hadar team is expanding and seeking talented individuals to fill various roles, including programmers, VFX experts, technical artists, writers, and mission designers. The enthusiasm from top developers labeling this opportunity as a "once-in-a-lifetime chance" suggests that Project Hadar is now moving from its conceptual phase into full-scale production.

CD Projekt Red is managing multiple projects simultaneously. The largest team is focused on Project Polaris, marking the beginning of a new trilogy in The Witcher saga, spotlighting the character Ciri. Additionally, two other teams are diligently working on a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 and another title set within The Witcher universe.
