Pokémon GO enthusiasts have a lot to look forward to with upcoming events, including the exciting Catch Mastery event. This event comes on the heels of the Festival of Colors and the Might and Mastery events, with Catch Mastery being a key component of the latter.
Catch Mastery Brings the First Birdie for Pokémon GO!
Mark your calendars for March 16th, as the Catch Mastery event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. This event centers around Archen, the First Bird Pokémon. During this period, you'll see increased wild spawns of Omanyte and Kabuto, and there's a chance you might encounter their Shiny versions.
Archen will also be available as a Field Research reward, with a boosted Shiny chance. To sweeten the deal, the event offers enticing XP bonuses, doubling your XP for Nice Throws or better, and also for Curveball Throws.
For those ready to dive deeper, there's Timed Research focused on catching Rock-type Pokémon. If you're up for the challenge, you can complete up to 10 sets of tasks, which will reward you with a total of 40 Archen encounters.
The Mega Absol Raid Day Is also Happening Soon
Following closely, the Mega Absol Raid Day is set for March 23rd, running from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Absol is getting a powerful new Charged Attack called Brutal Swing. Once the event kicks off, Absol will permanently gain access to this move, which delivers 55 power in Trainer Battles and a whopping 65 power in gyms and raids.
From March 22nd at 5:00 p.m. PDT to March 23rd at 8:00 p.m. PDT, the Remote Raid Pass limit will be temporarily increased to 20. Additionally, you can obtain up to five extra free Raid Passes by spinning Gym Photo Discs, bringing your total to six for the day.
If you haven't yet, be sure to download Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store and join in on the fun.
