Capcom to Crack Down on Monster Hunter Wilds Cheaters Before Title Update 1

By AnthonyMay 15,2025

Monster Hunter Wilds is set to receive its first Title Update tomorrow, introducing quests that promote competition through fast clear times. In response to this update, Capcom has issued a strong statement against cheating, emphasizing its commitment to maintaining a fair and enjoyable gaming environment.

In a recent post on the Monster Hunter X/Twitter account, Capcom explicitly warned players: "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts found in violation may be suspended or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests."

Capcom further clarified that players who join multiplayer hunts with cheaters risk having their quest completion times invalidated and their rewards revoked. The company advised players to exercise caution and avoid playing multiplayer with individuals engaging in prohibited activities or those suspected of doing so. They also encouraged reporting any instances of fraudulent activity encountered during quests.

These new quests will offer rewarding cosmetic pendants, some distributed to all participants and others based on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. This explains Capcom's stringent measures against cheating, as it directly impacts the integrity of rewards and completion times.

The Time-Based Competition Quests will be accessible through the new Arena Quest Counter in the Grand Hub in Suja, which players can unlock by completing a special tutorial mission. Make sure to head to the Grand Hub as soon as Title Update 1 goes live tomorrow in Monster Hunter Wilds. For more details, check out the Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 patch notes.
