New Assassin's Creed Shadows Trailer Showcases PC Version Features

Ubisoft has released a new trailer showcasing the impressive PC features of Assassin's Creed Shadows. The trailer highlights support for cutting-edge upscaling technologies, ultra-wide monitor compatibility, ray tracing effects (RTGI and RT Reflections), and extensive settings designed for optimal performance even on lower-spec PCs.

At launch, the PC version will boast compatibility with DLSS 3.7, FSR 3.1, and XeSS 2, ensuring visual fidelity across a range of hardware. A built-in benchmark tool will allow players to easily test performance and ensure compatibility with their setups, including ultra-wide monitors.

Minimum specifications for 1080p at 30 FPS include an Intel Core i7 8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor, and an NVIDIA GTX 1070 (8GB) or AMD RX 5700 (8GB) graphics card. For a stunning 4K 60 FPS experience at ultra settings with advanced ray tracing, players will need an Intel Core i7 13700K or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor, and a powerful RTX 4090 (24GB) graphics card.

Ubisoft has partnered with Intel to optimize Assassin's Creed Shadows for their processors, promising strong performance. Post-launch performance assessments on AMD systems will follow. Players are particularly interested in whether the game avoids the stuttering issues that plagued previous entries in the series. Mirage showed significant improvements in this area compared to Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla, offering a glimmer of hope for a smoother experience this time around.

Assassin's Creed Shadows launches March 20th on PC and consoles.
