The Guardians of the Road project has been revitalized with a new application that offers a seamless and enhanced user experience. By joining the Road Guard initiative, you can play a crucial role in saving lives on our roads.
Launched in 2016, the "Guardians of the Road - the road of all of us" project aims to heighten awareness and foster safer driving habits among motorists. As of January 1, 2023, the initiative has been managed by the "Safe Path" association, dedicated to improving road safety.
Anyone over the age of 18 can participate by downloading the "Road Guards" app and actively documenting traffic violations. Using the app is straightforward and efficient: before you start driving, simply activate the app. When you witness a traffic violation, you can report it using either a voice command or by pressing the Bluetooth button on your steering wheel. The app will then begin recording and capturing the details of the offense.
The recorded evidence is sent to a control center staffed by experienced volunteer traffic controllers. Following verification, a "letter on the way" is sent to the reported individual, including a link to the video documentation of the violation. In cases where the offense poses a threat to life, the report is escalated to the police for further action.
