WHAT IS STENCILETTO?

Stenciletto presents a series of progressive brain exercises using basic geometric forms. These activities are designed to develop and enhance visual & spatial awareness. Anyone can enjoy it—players simply need to recognize fundamental shapes and understand stencil concepts.

Solving these puzzles engages multiple critical thinking skills simultaneously, including visual-spatial perception, logical reasoning, strategic planning, and problem-solving. The challenge appears simple yet provides genuine cognitive stimulation. Your task is to tap geometric stencils in the correct sequence to recreate the target pattern, which proves more demanding than it initially appears.

Developed over a decade by an experienced educator with input from children, teens, adults, and individuals with learning differences or brain injuries, the game has proven engaging and motivating for all groups.

Our latest update introduces Education Mode, making the game classroom-friendly. A single purchase unlocks all relevant content with controls for content access, internet features, Game Center, and sharing options. Education Mode supports Family Sharing, perfect for homeschool environments.

HISTORY OF THE GAME

Originally known as the Stencil Design IQ Test, this activity was created by psychologist Grace Arthur Ph.D. in the early 20th century. She recognized nonverbal intelligence as fundamental to cognitive ability and found the test suitable for both children aged seven and academic colleagues. When testing Native American and deaf children who struggled with verbal IQ tests due to limited schooling, she demonstrated they possessed intelligence equivalent to educated Americans through this nonverbal assessment.

WHAT'S IN THE GAME?

Two game types are available: Classic Games feature Grace Arthur's original geometric stencils (squares, circles, triangles, crosses) that most players will recognize. World Games offer advanced challenges for those with strong perceptual and logical skills seeking greater difficulty.

Stenciletto contains over 600 leveled puzzles, with free samples at each level (60 free puzzles total).

Each paid game includes 15 puzzles. Completing Classic Games rewards players with animated Smiley characters based on historical and mythological figures from diverse cultures, providing both progress tracking and cultural representation.

Available play modes include:

• Mortal Mode (default) - Purchase lives or wait for regeneration, with timing, scoring, and leaderboards

• Immortal Mode - Unlimited free lives with occasional top-ups, featuring timed scoring and dedicated leaderboards

• Mindful Mode - Untimed, unscored relaxation play without time constraints

• Education Mode - Unlocks both Immortal and Mindful modes (Mortal Mode can be disabled)
