Squares

Maximize your word count to achieve victory! Squares is a daily word puzzle game combining strategy and word-finding skills. Your objective is to complete squares on a grid to create words.

Gameplay: Connect letters in any direction—horizontally, vertically, or diagonally—to form words. The goal is to discover all words hidden within the letter grid and accumulate the highest possible score.

Game Rules:

• Scoring: Each letter in a valid word earns one point (e.g., a five-letter word scores five points).
• Word Length: Words must contain at least four letters.
• Letter Usage: Each tile can only be used once per word.
• Excluded Words: Words with hyphens, proper nouns, offensive language, or uncommon terms are not included in the main word list.

Bonus Words: The puzzle includes obscure, archaic, or slang terms. These bonus words don't contribute to your score but appear in a separate list. You can continue searching for them even after finding all the main words. Each puzzle also features a "Word of the Day," a special, often longer bonus word, unlocking two extra hints upon successful identification.

Daily Challenge: A new Squares puzzle is available each day at midnight.

Grid Rotation: Utilize the rotation buttons in the bottom-right corner to view the grid from different angles, potentially revealing hidden words.

Letter Hints: After discovering 40% of the main words, a hint system activates. Numbers assigned to each letter indicate how many words begin with that letter (a zero means no words start with that letter). Letters turning orange are no longer used in the main word list but might still be part of bonus words.

Hint System: Each puzzle provides 3 to 5 hints (lightbulb icons), revealing the first letter and search direction of a random word. The number of hints depends on puzzle difficulty. Sharing the game link with friends grants an additional hint! Good luck and happy word hunting!
