If you're a frequent traveler in Kazakhstan, the SMSBUS electronic ticketing system offers a seamless cashless payment solution directly from your phone balance. To validate your fare, simply present your electronic travel ticket to the control service staff or the driver when boarding. Your ticket remains valid until you reach your final destination and can be easily accessed in the "Valid Tickets" section. Past tickets are stored under the "Travel Details" tab for your convenience.

By using the SMSBUS service, you agree to the terms outlined on their official website. Should you encounter issues with payments from your phone balance, possible reasons include the number being corporate, unpaid trust payments, insufficient balance due to lack of recent top-ups, unused starting balances, or a recently replaced SIM card.

Opening a virtual transport card is free via the app. Regular and school virtual transit cards can be registered independently, while other preferential cards require visiting the company’s office with necessary documentation.

Top up your virtual card effortlessly using your card number within the app or through external platforms like Kaspi Bank or Halyk Bank.

Permissions used by the system include:

  1. Camera – for QR code scanning via the QR scan button.
  2. Location – for accurate city/town maps, automatic bus detection, GPS-based fare calculation, and route planning with transfers.
