Develop Walking Skills for Visually Impaired Children Using AI and Sensor Data
This app provides a series of lessons designed by Safe Toddles, a non-profit organization dedicated to developing tools and techniques to improve walking and orientation skills in visually impaired children. For more information, visit https://www.safetoddles.org. These lessons utilize the Pediatric Belt Cane, a product also developed by Safe Toddles.
Users participate in interactive lessons, complete activity-based exercises, and provide feedback through assessment questionnaires. The app integrates with a wearable IMU sensor attached to the Pediatric Belt Cane. This sensor transmits IMU data to the app, which is then analyzed by an AI module to determine the child's developmental age.
Based on regular assessments of the child's developmental progress, the app generates a personalized learning path tailored to their individual needs.
