The Sea Level Rise app empowers individuals to actively participate in mapping the effects of flooding in their communities, contributing valuable data to document sea level rise and its impacts. This tool is particularly crucial for residents in low-lying coastal areas, who are increasingly affected by rising water levels. Our initiative began in Hampton Roads, Virginia, where we've benefited from the mapping efforts of thousands of volunteers during annual "Catch the King Tide" events. Developed by Wetlands Watch, this app fosters a more informed and connected community, enabling us to proactively address the challenges posed by sea level rise.

With the Sea Level Rise app, users can access a wealth of user-submitted data on this global issue and volunteer to gather essential street-level information. This data is vital for researchers and civic leaders who need localized insights to better understand and mitigate the effects of sea level rise. The app offers several key features that enhance community engagement and data collection:
