Application Description

This versatile portable media player also functions as a UPnP DLNA DMR, offering an enriched viewing experience. It supports a variety of file formats, including SSA/ASS/SUP subtitles, ensuring your media playback is fully customizable.

The player seamlessly integrates with UPnP DLNA technology, allowing it to serve as a Digital Media Renderer (DMR). Users can access their files through the Storage Access Framework (SAF), which provides a user-moderated approach to storage management.

For an enhanced viewing experience, the media player supports full-featured SSA/ASS subtitles. Users have the flexibility to add or manage font files themselves. Additionally, these subtitles can be dimmed to better match the high contrast and brightness levels of HDR and Dolby Vision (DV) content. The font size is also adjustable, catering to individual preferences.

In addition to SSA/ASS, the player supports subtitles in SUP (Blu-ray) and VobSub (DVD) formats starting from version 5.1. Whether embedded in MKV files or side-loaded, subtitles can be in individual files or compressed within Zip, 7Z, or RAR packages, which can be selected during playback.

The player is designed to handle HDR and DV content, with features like digital audio passthrough, MKV chapter navigation, frame-by-frame stepping, audio track selection and delay, as well as subtitle selection and time offset. It also displays the frame rate and automatically adjusts the refresh rate for optimal viewing.

Successful playback of Dolby Vision content has been confirmed on the NVidia Shield TV 2019. Videos can be rotated on demand, and full-screen zooming is available via pinch gestures.

Originally designed for segmented files, the player supports playback of files listed in m3u8 (HLS media list) format. While traditionally used for TS files, it now accommodates mp4 and flv files as well.

Please be noticed:
This app must run in the foreground before initiating DLNA projecting on some Android systems.

This update addresses several issues, including fixes for subtitles auto-selection, the first chapter 0:00 problem, and new system adaptations. Users can now set their default subtitle language within the subtitles selection box. A new feature allows users to select a subtitle file directly from the Storage Access Framework content page, which supports files from local storage, Samba/Windows sharing, or WebDAV clients—apps you choose as your SAF content providers. Efforts have been made to resolve a DMR service crash bug, ensuring a smoother streaming experience.
