How to play Çanak Okey:

This offline okey game is designed for 4 players. You also get a cue stick to help arrange your tiles.

Tiles come in four colors: Red, Black, Yellow, and Blue.

Çanak Okey tiles are numbered from 1 to 13.

The game also includes two fake okeys.

A total of 106 tiles are used in Çanak Okey.

At the start, all tiles are shuffled and automatically dealt. The player to the dealer’s right receives 15 tiles, others get 14.

Players arrange tiles using their cue sticks, grouping them into series or sets.

Undealt tiles remain in the middle of the table.

The face-up tile in the middle is called the indicator tile.

The tile matching the indicator’s color and number becomes the Okey tile.

In Çanak Okey, the Okey can substitute for any tile.

Winning with an Okey tile (throwing okey) doubles your earned points.

Standard tile arrangement:

Players form sets of at least 3 tiles. There are two types of valid formations.

First: sequences of the same color in numerical order.

Second: groups of the same number in different colors.

Pair formations in Çanak Okey:

Arrange all tiles into pairs. If you form seven pairs and discard your last tile, you win the game.

Indicator rule:

At the start of a turn, if a player reveals the indicator tile and it matches the Okey’s color, others lose 2 points; if not, no penalty applies.

Winning the game:

Normal finish (last discarded tile is not okey): opponents lose 2 points.

Okey-colored finish: opponents lose 4 points.

Seven-pair finish: opponents lose 4 points.

Same-color sequence from 1 to 13: opponents’ scores drop to zero and the game ends.

Same-color but not in sequence: opponents lose 8 points.
