Piston puts your vehicle's diagnostic information at your fingertips.

Is your Check Engine Light (MIL) on? Use Piston to turn your mobile device into a professional auto scanner. Read the related Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and Freeze Frame data to help you pinpoint and resolve the issue.

Simply use a compatible ELM327-based adapter (Bluetooth or Wi-Fi) and connect it to your vehicle's OBD2 port. Piston guides you through the connection process. Access the setup instructions from the Home screen after your first install, or anytime from Settings.

With Piston, you can:

• Read and clear OBD2-standard Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)

• Review Freeze Frame data (a snapshot of sensor readings when a fault occurred)

• Access real-time data from vehicle sensors

Note: To function as a car scanner, Piston requires a separate ELM327-based Bluetooth or Wi-Fi adapter. Compatible with OBD-II (OBD2/OBDII) and EOBD standards.

All vehicles sold in the USA since 1996 are required to support OBD2.

In the European Union, EOBD has been mandatory for petrol vehicles since 2001 and for diesel vehicles since 2004. In Australia and New Zealand, OBD2 is required for petrol cars from 2006 and diesel cars from 2007 onward.

Important: This app can only access the data your vehicle supports and provides via the OBD2 standard.
