Peak Hunters features an ever-growing database of mountain peaks, allowing you to record your ascents using your mobile phone's GPS. Each climb earns you points based on the mountain's altitude and the difficulty of the ascent. You can enrich your experience by adding personal ratings and photos to each peak you conquer. The app displays all peaks clearly on a map, which you can filter by country, mountain range, or distance from your current location. To ensure you're never lost, you can download offline map data, crucial in areas where the signal might be weak. These maps are powered by OpenStreetMap and highlight tourist routes, making your journey smoother.

If you discover a peak that's missing from our database, you can easily add it by long-pressing on the map. Once approved, it will appear in the app, and you'll earn bonus points for your contribution. Peak Hunters also boasts a range of statistics and collectible badges that celebrate your achievements. Rare badges come with special congratulations, adding an extra layer of excitement to your mountain-hunting journey. For each peak, you can access a 48-hour weather forecast, aiding in your trip planning and ensuring you're prepared for any conditions.

A unique feature of Peak Hunters is the ability to identify mountain peaks by simply pointing your phone towards them, with the correct distance filter set. This innovative tool helps you discover new summits effortlessly. The app also offers an incognito mode, allowing you to use it anonymously. However, in this mode, you cannot transfer your profile to other devices, log out, or restore your profile if your device is lost or data is damaged. We recommend testing the app in incognito mode before transitioning to a registered profile to enjoy the full range of features.
