Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup: New Arrivals and Departures
Microsoft has unveiled its first Xbox Game Pass lineup for 2025, confirming several anticipated titles and announcing some departures. The month of January brings a mix of new releases and returning favorites, catering to various tastes.
New Games Arriving in January 2025:
Microsoft's January 7th announcement included seven new additions to the Xbox Game Pass catalog. Leading the charge is Road 96, a choice-driven adventure title, available immediately across all Game Pass tiers (including PC). This marks a welcome return for the game, previously available on the service.
The remaining six titles will arrive later in the month:
- January 8th: Lightyear Frontier (Preview), My Time at Sandrock, Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders, Rolling Hills
- January 14th: UFC 5, Diablo
Noteworthy is the exclusivity of Diablo (Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass only) and UFC 5 (Game Pass Ultimate only). The rest of the lineup is accessible with a standard subscription. Lightyear Frontier, a sci-fi title, remains in early access.
New Game Pass Perks:
Alongside the new games, several Game Pass Ultimate perks launched on January 7th, including a weapon charm for Apex Legends and DLC packs for First Descendant, Vigor, and Metaball.
Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass on January 15th:
As new games arrive, some must depart. Microsoft confirmed the following six titles will be removed from the service on January 15th:
- Common'hood
- Escape Academy
- Exoprimal
- Figment
- Insurgency Sandstorm
- Those Who Remain
This initial lineup is just for the first half of January. Further announcements for the latter half of the month and beyond are expected soon.
