Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup: A Snowy Start and Stellar Additions

Xbox Game Pass is gearing up for a busy January 2025, starting with a strong showing in the latter half of the month. While the initial January releases were relatively modest, focusing primarily on tier shifts, the second half promises a significant boost with several day-one titles.

Leading the charge is Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, launching on January 21st as a day-one game for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. This exhilarating skiing game offers both co-op and PvP modes, providing a thrilling addition to the Game Pass catalog. Its initial exclusivity to the Ultimate tier follows the established pattern for recent day-one releases.

The January 2025 Game Pass lineup also includes:

  • January 2nd: Carrion
  • January 7th: Road 96
  • January 14th: Diablo, EA Sports UFC 3
  • January 21st: Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders
  • January 28th: Eternal Strands
  • January 30th: Sniper Elite: Resistance
  • January 31st: Citizen Sleeper 2

Beyond Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, January 2025 sees a trio of additional day-one releases: Eternal Strands (January 28th), Sniper Elite: Resistance (January 30th), and Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (January 31st). Eternal Strands, in particular, is generating excitement, with its action-adventure gameplay and distinct Zelda-esque feel.

February 2025 currently appears less robust, with only Avowed (February 18th, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate) confirmed so far. However, Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can enjoy the plentiful January additions, including the aforementioned day-one titles, while awaiting further February announcements.
