The narrative of World of Warcraft: The War Within continues. Beyond the Siren Isle update, Season 2's anticipated 2025 launch promises fresh endgame content and the expansion's next chapter. However, Patch 11.0.7 introduces several new story quests setting the stage for Patch 11.1, centered around the Goblin capital, Undermine. A separate questline concludes the tragic destruction of Dalaran, though this won't be immediately available upon patch release.

Dalaran's long history in Warcraft and World of Warcraft may be irrevocably altered by The War Within's events. The Dalaran Epilogue questline provides closure and a fitting farewell to this once-vital social hub in Wrath of the Lich King and Legion.

How to Begin the Patch 11.1 Prologue

Unlike the Dalaran Epilogue, the "Lingering Shadows" campaign begins immediately. Completion of the leveling or Level 80 campaign isn't required. However, catching up on the story beforehand is recommended to avoid spoilers and enhance understanding. The "Lingering Shadows" campaign comprises:

• Standing in the Way
• No Breathing Room
• Together, Alone
• The Voice
• Ringing in the Deeps
• Good Help These Days
• Hey, What's Going On?
• Haywired and Hostile
• Built to Blast
• Bat Versus World
• Found Friends

After "Found Friends," speak with Orweyna. While not part of the campaign, her quest offers insights into potential future plot developments within The War Within or subsequent World Soul Saga expansions.

Initiating the Dalaran Epilogue in World of Warcraft: The War Within

Initially, this questline had a three-week delay. As of January 7th, this restriction is lifted. However, unlocking this campaign necessitates completing both The War Within's leveling campaign and the Level 80 campaign (unlocked by achieving at least Renown Four with all four Khaz'algar factions).

If unsure about meeting these prerequisites, visit Foundation Hall (the prologue quest starting point for Patch 11.1). If Khadgar is present after January 7th, a quest will be available. His absence indicates unfinished campaign quests. The Dalaran Epilogue quest list follows:

Completing this campaign unlocks the "Fate of the Kirin Tor" achievement and the "Witness of the Kirin Tor" title.
