World of Warcraft Unveils New 2025 Six-Month Subscription Rewards
World of Warcraft players subscribing for six months or more will receive exciting new in-game rewards: the Timbered Sky Snake mount and the Timbered Air Snakelet pet. These items, inspired by the 2025 Year of the Wood Snake, are available until January 31, 2025, and must be redeemed before January 31, 2026.
The Timbered Sky Snake is a flying mount for the current version of WoW, while the Timbered Air Snakelet is a companion pet for Cataclysm Classic. Both items are also available for individual purchase from the in-game store ($25 for the mount, $10 for the pet). A separate Timbered Sky Snakelet pet for modern WoW is also available for $10 on the Battle.net shop, but isn't included in the subscription offer.
This follows a tradition of offering bonus items for extended subscriptions, often themed around the lunar zodiac. The 2024 rewards, for example, featured the Auspicious Arborwyrm.
January 2025 Six-Month Subscription Rewards:
- Timbered Sky Snake mount (World of Warcraft: Dragonflight)
- Timbered Air Snakelet pet (Cataclysm Classic)
Existing subscribers on six-month or longer plans will automatically receive these rewards.
Twelve-Month Subscription Bonuses:
Twelve-month subscribers receive the above rewards plus additional mounts and pets:
- Startouched Furline, Gigantic Grrloc, and Charming Courier mounts (modern WoW)
- Lava Drake mount and Swoopy pet (Classic)
This also includes July's six-month rewards, making it a compelling offer for mount collectors.
With major content updates planned for both retail and Classic WoW in 2025, including potential player housing in retail and the continuation of Classic progression servers, now is an opportune time to secure a longer subscription.
