Vampire Action-RPG Surpasses Sales Target

V Rising, the vampire survival game, has achieved a remarkable milestone: exceeding five million units sold! Stunlock Studios, the developer, is celebrating this success and has unveiled ambitious plans for a major 2025 update.

This update promises to significantly expand the game, introducing a new faction, enhanced PvP options, and a wealth of additional content. Key features include:

  • A New Faction: Prepare to encounter a completely new group of adversaries.
  • Revamped PvP: Expect improved PvP mechanics, including new duel options and arena-based combat, minimizing the risks associated with traditional PvP. (Update 1.1 previewed some of these features).
  • Advanced Crafting: A new crafting station will allow players to leverage stat bonuses from items, creating powerful endgame equipment.
  • Expanded World: A vast new region, situated north of Silverlight, will introduce challenging new environments, bosses, and gameplay experiences.
  • Improved Progression: The player progression system will receive a significant overhaul.
  • Ancient Technology: The introduction of ancient technology promises to add a new layer of strategic depth.

The game's journey began with its early access launch in 2022, culminating in a full release in 2024. Its popularity has extended to the PlayStation 5, with a successful launch in June 2024. Stunlock Studios CEO, Rickard Frisegard, attributes this success to the dedicated community built around the game, emphasizing that the five million sales figure represents more than just numbers. He assures players that this achievement fuels the team's commitment to ongoing development and improvement. The 2025 update aims to "redefine" V Rising, ensuring continued excitement and engagement for its players.
