Unlocking the True Shu Ending in Dynasty Warriors: Origins
To access the true ending for Liu Bei's Shu faction in Dynasty Warriors: Origins, you must first complete the main Shu campaign. This unlocks the ability to replay stages, revealing a gold banner next to "The Battle of Changban," signifying an alternate path.
Normally, this battle involves escorting Liu Bei to safety while Zhang Fei defends the bridge. However, to unlock the true ending, you must defeat Cao Cao himself. This is a challenging task, requiring you to overcome Cao Cao's army largely on your own. Liu Bei's defeat before Cao Cao's will necessitate restarting the mission.
To improve your chances:

Reduce Difficulty: Switch to "Historian" mode to make the battle more manageable. The sheer number of enemies makes this a significant advantage.

Strategic Partner: Choose Zhang Fei as your partner; his starting position is closer to Cao Cao's forces, reducing travel time.

Musou Meter Management: Ensure your Musou Rage meter is full before engaging Cao Cao's main force. You'll need it to counter his Grand Tactics (defeating two officers and 250 soldiers). A weapon like twin pikes is recommended for efficiently clearing the soldiers.
Once Cao Cao is defeated, a few additional missions remain before the true Shu ending is revealed.
