With Monster Hunter Wilds launching February 28th, time is running out to secure your pre-order bonuses. This guide breaks down all the pre-order incentives and available editions to help you decide which is right for you.
Platform Availability:
Monster Hunter Wilds will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. It will not launch on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, or PlayStation 4 due to performance limitations. A future release on Nintendo Switch 2 remains a possibility.
Pre-Order Bonuses:
Pre-ordering before February 28th grants you the following:
- Hunter Layered Armor Set: Guild Knight
- Talisman: Hope Charm
The exact effect of the Hope Charm is yet to be fully detailed, but it's expected to provide a beneficial in-game boost.
Game Editions:
Beyond pre-order bonuses, multiple editions offer varying levels of additional content:
-
Standard Edition ($69.99): Base game and pre-order content. Available digitally and physically on consoles, and digitally on PC.
-
Deluxe Edition ($89.99): Includes the base game, pre-order content, and a substantial collection of cosmetic items such as layered armor sets, decorations, gestures, hairstyles, and more. Available digitally on PC and consoles.
-
Premium Deluxe Edition ($109.99): Contains all the Deluxe Edition content, plus additional premium bonus content at launch and two future cosmetic DLC packs (Spring & Summer 2025). Available digitally on PC and consoles.
Japan-Exclusive Collector's Editions:
Two physical Collector's Editions are currently only available in Japan:
-
Collector's Edition ($68): Includes a Seikret plush, weapon bag, and steelbook case. Note: The game itself is not included in this edition.
-
Ultra Collector's Edition ($1,140): Features the base game, pre-order content, Seikret plush, weapon bag, steelbook, and a Monster Hunter Wilds branded Dahon K9X folding bicycle (shipped separately around April 2025). Importantly, this edition does not include the Deluxe Edition DLC.
International shipping for these Collector's Editions is not directly supported by Capcom's Japanese store.
Early Reactions:
While full reviews are pending, early previews and beta tests have been largely positive, praising the game's improved performance, streamlined gameplay, and attention to detail.
