TMNT Arrive in CoD: Teenage Heroes Join the Battle

Activision has revealed a new crossover event for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone, bringing back the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This isn't the first time these heroes have graced an Activision shooter.

While specifics regarding the collaboration's content and launch date (slated for "soon") remain undisclosed by the developers, CODWarfareForum has leaked some unverified details.

The rumored crossover includes operator skins for all four Turtles (disappointingly, April O'Neil, Splinter, and Shredder are absent). New melee weapons – a skateboard, katana, nunchucks, and bo staff – are also anticipated. The Grind map, a skatepark, is expected to be the central location for crossover events.

Fan reaction has been muted, not due to a lack of popularity for the TMNT franchise, but rather due to the current state of Black Ops Cold War. The game's struggles with bugs and rampant cheating have significantly impacted its player base. This collaboration feels ill-timed, occurring amidst considerable in-game issues, leaving the future of the event uncertain.
