Tencent delays Hidden Ones pre-alpha playtesting

The highly anticipated pre-alpha playtest for The Hidden Ones, the action brawler based on Hitori No Shita: The Outcast, has been delayed.

Initially slated for next week, Tencent Games and MoreFun Studios have pushed the playtest back to February 27th, 2025. This two-month extension will allow the developers to refine the game and ensure a superior player experience, as stated on the game's official website. For more details, visit the official website.

A Deeper Look at The Hidden Ones

The Hidden Ones immerses players in a thrilling martial arts world steeped in Eastern philosophies like Taoism and Yin Yang. The game emphasizes character understanding, philosophical depth, and mastering unique abilities within a modern setting.

Players will unravel a cinematic storyline centered around the Outcasts, battling increasingly difficult bosses across multiple levels. These boss encounters are directly linked to chapters within the overarching martial arts saga, evolving in tandem with the player's progress.

Multiple game modes are available:

  • Duel Mode: Engage in intense player-versus-player combat.
  • Action Roulette: Dynamically acquire opponent skills mid-battle.
  • Trial Mode: Conquer a series of progressively challenging boss fights, requiring mastery of diverse characters and fighting styles.
