Supergaming\'s Indus surpasses 11 million pre-registrations and introduces new 4v4 deathmatch mode

By ChloeFeb 07,2025

Indus, India's homegrown battle royale game, introduces a thrilling new 4v4 deathmatch mode. This addition comes alongside another significant achievement: surpassing 11 million pre-registrations. However, a full release date remains elusive, with the game currently in closed beta.

Supergaming's Indus, designed specifically for the Indian market, features the classic battle royale elements, enhanced by innovative additions like a Grudge system rewarding persistent player rivalries. The game, initially announced in 2022, has undergone several beta phases, steadily adding features and attracting a growing player base. This consistent growth reflects the immense and expanding mobile gaming market in India.

The closed beta now includes an improved audio experience, featuring revamped sound effects and music.

While the 11 million pre-registrations are impressive, the growth rate has somewhat plateaued since March, when the game reached 10 million. Despite this, the continued interest is noteworthy.

Anticipation for Indus's public launch is high. Although new features are consistently added, the previously speculated late 2023 release didn't materialize. Hopes are now set on a 2024 release, either a full launch or a public beta.
