Xion transforms into a winter wonderland with warm lights and festive decorations. The Last Gulp and Eve's camp also receive holiday makeovers, complemented by seasonal BGM ("Dawn (Winter)" and "Take me away").

A new mini-game awaits! Details are scarce, but targeting a holiday drone promises special rewards.

Control Your Holiday Content

The update introduces an option to enable/disable seasonal events (including the Nier:Automata DLC) in the Gameplay settings under "Seasonal Event Content." Choose from:

  • Auto: Automatically enables/disables based on the season.
  • Disable: Deactivates seasonal content.
  • Enable: Activates seasonal content.

Note: Changing this setting requires a game restart.

Mixed Reception

Following the December 16th announcement, fan reaction was largely positive, with many creatively dubbing Eve "Christmas Eve." However, some questioned the frequency of event updates for a single-player game with a relatively short playtime (around 30 hours). The need to restart the game to fully experience the seasonal content was also a point of contention. Many games with seasonal content offer multiplayer or high replayability, allowing players to enjoy cosmetic items over a longer period. Stellar Blade's shorter playtime necessitates restarts to fully enjoy the updates.
