Path of Exile 2's bustling trade chat frequently features high demand for White Stellar Amulets, often fetching 10 to 15 Exalted Orbs each. This significant value often puzzles players. The reason boils down to their potential for transformation into a highly sought-after item. Let's explore the details.

Why are White Stellar Amulets So Valuable in Path of Exile 2?

The secret lies in their potential to become the Astramentis Stellar Amulet, a top-tier Unique Amulet, through the use of an Orb of Chance. These unmodded, "white" Stellar Amulets, possessing only the inherent "+# to All Attributes," are the key.

Astramentis' exceptional power stems from its massive attribute boost (+80-120 to All Attributes). This synergizes perfectly with the Hand of Wisdom and Action Furtive Wraps, another incredibly valuable Unique, enhancing attack speed and lightning damage based on Intelligence and Dexterity.

Crucially, only "white" Stellar Amulets can be used to create Astramentis. Magic (blue) or Rare (yellow) amulets won't work, making the normal rarity amulets exceptionally valuable.

Sell or Gamble? The White Stellar Amulet Dilemma

The odds of successfully crafting Astramentis with an Orb of Chance are extremely low. Even using numerous amulets (e.g., 100) doesn't guarantee success. While luck could favor you, it's a risky gamble.

The choice is yours: sell your White Stellar Amulets for a guaranteed 10-30 Exalted Orbs (market price dependent), or take a chance at obtaining the far more valuable Astramentis. It's a high-stakes gamble, and the decision rests solely with the player.

Using the Orb of Chance for Astramentis in PoE 2

To attempt the transformation, place the White Stellar Amulet in your inventory, right-click the Orb of Chance, and left-click the amulet. The possible outcomes are:

  • Amulet destruction.
  • Upgrade to a unique sharing the same base. Two possibilities exist:
    1. Astramentis (the desired outcome)
    2. Fixation of Yix (a less desirable unique)

Remember, Fixation of Yix is far more common than Astramentis, and failure results in the amulet's destruction.
