Pokémon GO's Halloween festivities are about to begin, and Niantic has unveiled the details for Part 1 of the event (with a Part 2 to follow!). Get ready for thrilling features and spooky Pokémon encounters.
The Pokémon GO Halloween event commences on Tuesday, October 22nd, at 10:00 a.m. local time, and concludes on Monday, October 28th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
What's in Store?
Morpeko makes its Pokémon GO debut! This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon introduces unique battle mechanics, especially effective against Team GO Rocket and in GO Battle League. Morpeko's ability to switch between Full Belly Mode and Hangry Mode mid-battle, based on its Charged Attack, is a highlight. Full Belly Mode uses Aura Wheel (Electric), a 100-power move boosting Attack. Hangry Mode uses a Dark-type Aura Wheel, retaining the 100-power and Attack boost.
During the event, Morpeko will have an increased appearance rate in the GO Battle League's premium track. Post-event, it will remain available from Rank 16 onwards, though it will still be more common in premium battles.
A Spooktacular Pokémon GO Halloween!
The event features special Halloween decorations and a remix of the classic Lavender Town theme music playing nightly. Enjoy this eerie atmosphere!
Dynamax Gastly appears in one-star Max Battles, alongside Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble.
Free Timed Research, running from October 22nd to November 3rd, focuses on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits. Completing tasks rewards encounters with Halloween Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.
