As Khazan begins his journey, environmental hazards demand constant vigilance. While ambushing enemies pose obvious threats, the world conceals valuable resources—including treasure chests, guarded collectibles, and mysterious glowing Soulstones.

These crimson crystals scatter throughout levels, often requiring platforming skills and keen observation to locate. Rather than admire them, players must shatter Soulstones using melee strikes or ranged Javelin attacks.

The hub area—The Crevice—displays how many Soulstones remain undiscovered in each level once players unlock its portal navigation system.

Destroyed Soulstones accumulate as currency spent through Daphrona—an NPC first encountered in Embars Ruins' Forgotten Temple. After explaining Netherworld energy leaks, she relocates to The Crevice's Nether realm following level completion.

Through Daphrona's "Unleash Soulstones" option, players convert collected stones into powerful buffs. Standard upgrades include:

  • Enhanced Lacrima acquisition (accelerating leveling)
  • Improved HP regeneration via Netherworld Energy

Periodically, players may discover temporary boosts like attack enhancements or recovery improvements—each providing crucial advantages against escalating challenges.

Returning to Daphrona periodically allows players to maximize Soulstone investments through strategic upgrades.

The First Berserker: Khazan is currently available in Early Access.
