Sony Unveils Sleek Midnight Black PlayStation 5 Accessory Collection

Sony has announced a stylish new Midnight Black Collection for PlayStation 5, adding a touch of darkness to its popular accessories. The collection includes the DualSense Edge wireless controller, PlayStation Portal handheld remote player, Pulse Elite wireless headset, and Pulse Explore wireless earbuds.

This sophisticated collection offers a premium aesthetic upgrade for PS5 users. The classic white DualSense controller has been joined by a range of colors, and this Midnight Black addition is sure to appeal to those seeking a more subdued look. The collection follows previous color releases like Volcanic Red, Cobalt Blue, and Galactic Purple.

The new Midnight Black accessories are priced as follows:

  • PlayStation Portal: $199.99
  • Pulse Explore wireless earbuds: $199.99
  • Pulse Elite wireless headset: $149.99

Note that the Pulse Elite headset's price is higher than its predecessor, the Pulse 3D wireless headset. Both the headset and earbuds come with a felt gray carrying case.

Pre-orders begin January 16, 2025, at 10 am ET, exclusively through direct.playstation.com. The full launch is scheduled for February 20, 2025.
