Sony emphasized that the PC version of *The Last of Us Part II Remastered* is optimized for a wide range of hardware, from high-end PCs to handheld gaming devices.
The Last of Us Part 2 PC Specs:
New Content in No Return Mode:
No Return Mode is set to receive two new characters from *The Last of Us Part I*: Bill and Marlene. Bill, with a "Smuggler" playstyle, can access a custom pump shotgun from dead drops, earns double rewards from drops, and is stronger against melee attacks but cannot dodge. Marlene, on the other hand, adopts a "Risk Taker" playstyle, equipped with a Custom Assault Rifle and "All or Nothing" gambits, allowing her to reroute her path once per run.
Additionally, four new maps are being introduced to No Return Mode:
- Overlook, set high above Seattle with vertical gameplay and a memorable Seraphites encounter.
- School, the abandoned elementary school where Ellie and Dina face the W.L.F.
- Streets, set in the overgrown Seattle neighborhood of Hillcrest.
- Nest, an Infected-infested building familiar to Abby's players.
All the new content for No Return Mode, along with new Trophies and bug fixes, will be available on PS5 and PC through a free downloadable 2.0.0 patch on the same day as the PC launch.
Regarding the PlayStation Network (PSN) sign-in, it remains optional for the PC version. However, signing in grants access to the PlayStation overlay, PSN Trophies, 50 in-game points for bonus features, and a new skin for Ellie featuring Jordan A. Mun's jacket from Naughty Dog's upcoming PS5 game, *Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet*. PS5 players can also unlock this skin through the 2.0 patch using in-game bonus points.
In other news, *The Last of Us* director Neil Druckmann recently shared insights on *Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet*, which has been in development for four years. The game, set in an alternate historical timeline, delves into themes of faith and religion and features Tati Gabrielle as the protagonist, Jordan A. Mun.
The PC release of *The Last of Us Part II Remastered* comes just before Season 2 of HBO's successful TV adaptation, where showrunners Druckmann and Craig Mazin have promised the return of spores, which were absent in the first season.
