Sims 1, 2 Return to PC?

The Sims franchise is marking its 25th anniversary with a series of exciting announcements, and while Electronic Arts has unveiled a celebratory roadmap, the potential for unexpected reveals remains high.

A recent Sims teaser prominently featured elements from the first two games in the series, sparking widespread fan speculation about a possible re-release. Although no official confirmation exists, Kotaku sources suggest a potential announcement later this week: digital PC versions of The Sims 1 and 2, complete with their original expansion packs.

The possibility of console releases remains uncertain, though the potential for significant revenue from nostalgic players makes it a strong likelihood. Currently, legal access to The Sims 1 and 2 is extremely limited. A digital re-release would undoubtedly be a welcome event for long-time fans.
