Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test: Sign-Ups Open January 10th (PS5 & Xbox Series X/S Only)
The highly anticipated Elden Ring Nightreign network test begins accepting registrations on January 10th, 2025. This initial beta, however, will be exclusive to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
Announced at The Game Awards 2024, Elden Ring Nightreign is a cooperative Soulsborne experience set in The Lands Between, designed for three-player parties. Targeted for a 2025 release, the game will undergo at least one network test before launch.
Limited Platform Availability: While Elden Ring Nightreign is planned for PS4, Xbox One, and PC alongside the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, this initial network test will only be accessible on the latter two platforms. FromSoftware has confirmed no cross-platform play will be available. Similarly, progress made during the beta is unlikely to transfer to the final game. Further betas are possible, but haven't been confirmed.
How to Register for the Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test:
- Visit the official Elden Ring Nightreign network test website starting January 10th, 2025.
- Register, specifying your preferred platform (PS5 or Xbox Series X/S).
- Await a confirmation email (arriving no later than February 2025).
- Participate in the network test during February 2025.
Gameplay Limitations:
Beyond the platform restrictions, Elden Ring Nightreign features a unique cooperative setup. Only solo play and three-player parties are supported; FromSoftware has opted not to balance the game for two-player groups. Whether the network test will include additional limitations remains to be seen. The test itself is scheduled for February 2025, with specific dates to be announced soon.
