Pokémon GO's newest additions keep trainers busy! Following Fidough's arrival, Shroodle is making its debut, but obtaining it isn't as simple as a standard wild encounter.
Shroodle's Pokémon GO Arrival
The Poison-type Shroodle enters Pokémon GO on January 15, 2025, as part of the Fashion Week: Taken Over event. Originally from Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, it's a relatively recent addition to the franchise. Post-event, Shroodle will remain obtainable.
Shiny Shroodle?
At launch, a Shiny Shroodle isn't available in Pokémon GO. Its Shiny variant will likely appear in a future event, possibly a Poison-type or Team GO Rocket focused one.
Acquiring Shroodle in Pokémon GO
12KM eggs collected from January 15th, 12 AM local time onwards, have a chance of hatching Shroodle. Its hatch rate is expected to be higher during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event, but it should remain in the 12KM egg pool afterward.
Obtaining 12KM Eggs
Since Shroodle is only found in 12KM eggs, here's a reminder on how to get them:
They're obtained by defeating Team GO Rocket Leaders (Sierra, Arlo, Cliff) or Giovanni. The Taken Over event is ideal for stocking up on 12KM eggs due to increased Team GO Rocket activity and easier Rocket Radar acquisition. However, you can battle GO Rocket Grunts at any time to challenge the Leaders and get a 12KM egg (provided you have inventory space).
Grafaiai Acquisition
Evolution requires 50 Shroodle Candy. Hatching multiple Shroodle or using one as your buddy are the best ways to gather the necessary Candy.
